Abu Dhabi Pedestrian Bridge
In the bustling heart of Abu Dhabi, UAE, OBERMEYER Middle East has been entrusted with a trailblazing project that vividly showcases its extraordinary capabilities in the realms of innovative and sustainable architecture design. The project, a pedestrian bridge connecting Al Maryah Tower and Galleria Mall, not only remarkably enhances the architectural landscape of Al Maryah Island but also significantly enhances the pedestrian connectivity and improves comfort in the area.
?
The pedestrian bridge features a steel structure design, gracefully spanning the main road between the tower and the shopping mall like an elegant ribbon, with a total area of 300 m2. The core design concept is "people-oriented", aiming to meticulously create a safe, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing walking space. The main steel girders adopt an I-shaped structure and are closely connected to the bridge deck using bolts, ensuring the stability and safety of the structure. Meanwhile, a relatively high clearance is designed under the bridge deck, enabling rapid construction with minimal impact on the underlying infrastructure and road traffic.
Innovative Design and Sustainable Solutions
The design team of OBERMEYER has always adhered to the "people-oriented" principle, exquisitely integrating modern art elements to showcase the unique architectural aesthetics. The use of lightweight materials and modern technology in the bridge not only ensures its strength and durability but also substantially reduces construction and maintenance costs. The application of advanced materials and construction techniques further highlights OBERMEYER 's unwavering commitment to sustainable development. This not only significantly extends the bridge's service life but also minimizes its environmental impact.
