OBERMEYER was invited to attend the judging session of 2023 Shanghai Urban Design Challenge
On October 15, 2023, the expert review meeting of the "2023 Shanghai Urban Design Challenge" concluded successfully. As one of the key collaborative projects of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Shanghai Municipal Government, the Jury Panel of the Challenge consisted of nearly 30 experts, including academicians and national survey and design masters. Mr. Christopher Knabe, the General Manager of OBERMEYER China, was invited as a review expert to attend the Special (Node) Urban Design Review Meeting.
The jury panel provided evaluations and comments on the Block Urban Design, Special (Node) Urban Design, Urban Regeneration, Green Ecology, and Rail Transit Station Typical Block Urban Design, as well as the general "Six Arts Pavilion" proposals of the current challenge.
After careful review, discussions, and comments on more than 150 urban design proposals and competition entries, outstanding works were selected by the Jury Panel, witnessing the global achievements in excellent urban design and innovative design solutions. Recommendations and suggestions were put forth to foster the exploration and advancement of future urban design, which will be leading the global urban design industry and promoting collaborative creation and establishment.
